Whitefish on Celery Salad with Red Currants
I have been invited to a party; well, all of us have. In honor of Dhanngit’s 1st blog anniversary, she is having a virtual pot-luck cocktail party called Perfect Party Dishes. I prepared a dish so simple it can be prepared while wearing your good pearls on your way out the door to the party. Whitefish on Celery Salad with Red Currants; it’s a breeze.
The key here is delicious smoked whitefish. I used said fish from Crooked River Smokers purchased at the Shaker Square farmer’s market. (Full disclosure, CRS are sort of acquaintances.)
For the salad, a couple stalks of red celery (with the leaves), white radish diced, red onion diced, dill, and mayonnaise. The assembly is equally easy: crackers, salad, whitefish, red currants; cracker, salad, whitefish, red currants…alright you get it.
Makes for a fancy party starter. Or as I consumed them, for a late dinner with hubby while watching the Olympic Games.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I love your daughter's name. Drooling over your red currant jelly. It looks so beautiful. You're right about it being nature's jewelry.
I like the looks of that celery salad! Yummy!
Elegant and delicious at the same time. Just beautiful.
I may have to steal the pics for the Crooked River portfolio, with all due credit paid, of course.
As always, this is a great post. Glad you liked the fish. It's nice to see it in such a respectful setting.
